Info Minister reiterates Pakistan's support to oppressed people of IIOJK
Murtaza Solangi says a politically and economically stable Pakistan can raise the issue of massive human rights violations in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir effectively at international fora.
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has reiterated Pakistan's moral, political and diplomatic support to the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination.
Addressing a seminar on Kashmir in Islamabad today, he said no force can suppress the voices of Kashmiris for their inalienable right to self-determination.
The Minister said a politically and economically stable Pakistan can raise the issue of massive human rights violations in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir effectively at international fora.
He said all credible institutions including the US State Department, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch are presenting grim situation of human rights in India, specifically in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Terming India as so-called democracy due to its discriminatory role with the minorities, the Minister said minorities living in Indian occupied Kashmir, Manipur and Gujrat are subjected to severe atrocities and oppression.
Murtaza Solangi regretted that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi never supported the minorities of the country.
He said the voices of innocent Palestinians can also never be silenced despite the level of cruelties they are facing these days. He also highlighted the atrocities being perpetrated on the innocent Palestinians.
The Minister urged the media to highlight the issue of gross human rights violations in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said contrary to Indian media, Pakistani media should present concrete facts in this regard instead of promoting mere propaganda.
Murtaza Solangi said we don't even need any kind of censorship that is being imposed by Indian authorities through blocking social media accounts of Pakistanis including Radio Pakistan's accounts.
Addressing the event, Prime Minister's Special Assistant on Human Rights Mushaal Hussein Mullick said Indian military is involved in the genocide of Muslims in IIOJK.
Expressing her deep concerns over the human rights situation in the held territory, she said people of Kashmir can never be defeated through oppression and negative tactics like jailing the political leadership.
