Number of martyred Palestinians in Israeli attacks reaches 20,000

Gaza: Israeli attacks on Gaza continue for the 75th day in which the number of martyred Palestinians has reached 20,000.

According to Arab News, the Palestinian authorities have confirmed the number of martyrs to be 20,000 saying that 8,000 children and 6,200 women are included in the martyrs.

The Israeli army carried out an airstrike near a hospital in Rafah, also bombed Khan Younis and Jabalia camps, killing more than 85 Palestinians.

Communications and internet services in Gaza have once again been shut down due to the bombing.

The United Nations Children's Organization (UNICEF) stated that many children are likely to die in the coming days due to the lack of clean drinking water in Gaza.

According to UNICEF, children in Gaza have access to only 10% of the water they need. Children and their families are forced to use contaminated water from unsafe sources.

UNICEF added that the significant supply of clean water to children is a matter of life and death. There is a fear of children dying and diseases spreading due to lack of clean water supply.

On the other hand, Judy Ginsburg—the president of Committee to Protect Journalists—an international organization of journalists—has demanded the investigation of deliberate targeting of journalists in Gaza.

Judy Ginsburg continued that despite being clearly equipped with journalistic equipment, they were targeted in Gaza, and those involved in the killing of journalists should be brought to justice.

He also said that journalists are civilians and civilians should not be targeted in war.

According to the report, at least 68 journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza since October 7.
