FIA arrests accused involved in making fake degree

Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took action and arrested the main suspect involved in making fake degrees.

According to the spokesperson of FIA, the arrested accused Muhammad Amin Baig was involved in making fake degrees and used to issue them in the name of International University of Sri Lanka.

The FIA spokesman said that the accused Amin Baig has been arrested from F-10 area of Islamabad on the charge of making and issuing fake degrees.

The spokesperson stated that the former CEO Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) Sheikh Akhtar Hussain also obtained the same fake degree.

It is pertinent to note that Sheikh Akhtar got appointed as the CEO on a fake degree. The accused's PhD degree turned out to be fake to get the job, after which FIA arrested him a few days ago.
