ECP to indict Imran Khan, Fawad Chaudhary in contempt case on Wednesday

Fawad Chaudhary has already asked the commission for an open trial of the case for the sake of transparency in the proceedings.

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan would indict Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhary tomorrow  in a case related to contempt of the election watchdog.

In response to these charges, Fawad Chaudhary has formally requested an open trial, emphasizing a commitment to transparency in the proceedings.

ECP four-member bench led by Nisar Durrani would take up the matter.

 The bench comprised seasoned Election Commission members including Shah Mehmood Jatoi, Babar Hussain Bharwana, and Justice (retired) Ikramullah.
