Nomination papers of PTI leader Murad Saeed rejected

Sawat: The nomination papers submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed to participate in the upcoming general elections 2024 were rejected.

According to the details, PTI leader Murad Saeed had submitted nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA-4 Swat to contest the general elections, which was rejected by the Returning Officer on Friday.

The Returning Officer has rejected the papers of the former Federal Minister for being a proclaimed offender.

It is pertinent to note that Murad Saeed has also submitted nomination papers for NA-3 other than NA-4.

His lawyer said in this regard: “We had completed all the required documents of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), we will appeal in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) against the decision”.

Notably, PTI leader Murad Saeed has been absconding since the May 9 incidents.
