It was decided that in future, main focus of NAB will be on mega corruption and money laundering cases.


Islamabad: New reforms have been implemented in NAB in which anonymous, frivolous, ill-conceived and malicious complaints will be rejected without any action.
According to the details, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has issued new rules and regulations in the first phase of comprehensive reforms according to the accountability process and transparency will be further improved to ensure prompt action on public complaints.
The public perception of NAB will be removed, new rules have been issued for processing complaints without delay and such petitioners whose charges are not proven will be punished according to law.
The complainant is required to ensure that all the necessary information is entered in his application and attach an affidavit along with the application. In which it is assured that the allegations made by him are true and if they are proved false he will be entitled to punishment according to law.
No NAB officer has been allowed to contact the defendants during the initial complaint verification process. If a complaint is received against a woman, she will be called for investigation along with her blood relative and in case of relative is not available, a female officer of NAB will conduct the inquiry.
