Internet services to be suspended in sensitive polling stations: Jan Achakzai
The caretaker Balochistan information minister says that these actions aim to uphold a peaceful electoral process, a vital duty of the interim administration.
Quetta: Balochistan's interim Information Minister Jan Achakzai on Sunday said that internet services would be temporarily halted in regions hosting polling stations categorized as “sensitive” during the general elections in province.
Achakzai highlighted that these actions aim to uphold a peaceful electoral process, a vital duty of the interim administration.
He stated that the internet access would be limited in several areas, including Turbat, Macch, and Chaman, to mitigate such risks.
He expressed concerns about the potential misuse of social media platforms by terrorists for communication during the polling.
