Jamaat-e-Islami rejects resignation of Siraj-ul-Haq

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Consultative Council Saturday rejected the resignation of party chief Siraj-ul-Haq.

The decision to reject the resignation of Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq was made in the meeting of the Central Council under the chairmanship of Siraj.

The spokesperson of Jamaat-e-Islami Qaiser Sharif said that the Central Consultative Council unanimously rejected the resignation and expressed full confidence in Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq.

Qaiser Sharif clarified that Siraj has come to his seat and will address the Central Consultative Council shortly and will continue his duties as per constitution.

Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson demanded the immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
