PTI leader Salman Akram Raja arrested
Salman has been arrested from Jail Road Lahore outside PTI party office where workers were protesting against rigged elections results.
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and lawyer Salman Akram Raja has been arrested on Saturday.
According to the details, Salman has been arrested from Jail Road Lahore outside PTI party office where workers were protesting against alleged rigged elections results.
When Salman Akram reached the Tehreek-e-Insaaf office on Jail Road, the police took him into custody and various party workers also.
At the time of the arrest of the famous jurist, slogans were raised against the police by the party workers present there. Women workers are also participating in the protest of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
PTI workers including Salman Akram Raja under police custody have been shifted to an unknown location in prison vans. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Ali Nasir has also reached outside the PTI office on Jail Road.
It is pertinent to note that Barrister Salman contested the elections from Lahore constituency NA-128 against Istehkam-e-Pakistan Pakisrty (IPP) leader Aun Chaudhry and lost. After which he consulted the relevent forums to investigate the allegedly rigged elections and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) ordered suspension of the victotry notification of Aun Chaudhry.
