Karachi: Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and nominated Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah Saturday said that they will take the oath of provincial assembly today and people will continue to protest.

Former Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah while talking to the media on reaching the Sindh Assembly stated: ‘I had already told how many seats we would get which is more than expected’.

Murad Ali Shah added that there are many problems in Pakistan, they will solve them together. Today they will take oath, people will continue to protest.

It is pertinent to note that the Sindh Assembly session is being held today under the chairmanship of former Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, in which the newly elected members will take oath.

On the other hand, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have also announced the siege of the Sindh Assembly, due to which strict security arrangements have been made and all the roads leading to the Assembly have been blocked by placing containers.

Karachi police has detained 10 activists of Qaumi Awami Tehreek protesting outside the Sindh Assembly.

GDA and JI members will not take oath in the meeting while PTI-backed Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) will also not attend the meeting today.
