Rawalpindi: In a thrilling encounter at Rawalpindi Stadium on Tuesday night, Peshawar Zalmi clinched victory over Multan Sultans by a narrow margin of four runs.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi set a challenging target of 205 runs for Multan Sultans. Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, who scored a remarkable 64 runs off 40 balls, and with Saim Ayub's contribution of 46 runs off 22 balls, Zalmi posted a total of 204 runs for the loss of five wickets.

In response, Multan Sultans put up a valiant fight but fell short of securing victory. Mohammad Rizan, leading the Sultans, scored 32 runs off 24 balls, while Iftikhar Ahmad emerged as the top scorer with an impressive 60 runs off 27 balls.

The match marked the 21st encounter of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9, showcasing a display of skill and determination at Rawalpindi Stadium.
