IHC notifies ECP for not uploading Forms-45, 47
The court adjourned the hearing by issuing notices to the Election Commission.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the petition of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) against not uploading Forms-45 and Form-47 on its website.
According to the details, Chief Justice of IHC Aamer Farooq heard MWM's petition regarding Form-45 and Form-47. Lawyers Iman Zainab Mazari appeared in the court on behalf of MWM.
The court directed the petitioner and chief MWM Raja Allama Nasir Abbas to sit.
Iman Zainab Mazari, the lawyer of MWM, stated that according to the Election Act 2017, election result forms and related documents have to be uploaded on the website within 14 days. Elections were held on February 8 but the relevant documents have not been uploaded yet. The ECP uploaded some Form-45 yesterday and then removed it.
The court adjourned the hearing by issuing notices to the Election Commission.
It is pertinent to note that the Islamabad High Court directed to remove the objections to MWM's application in the case against the Election Commission for not uploading Forms 45 and 47 on the website.
