PHC bars FBR to act against Shandana Gulzar
However, the court adjourned the hearing by March 25.
Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has barred Federal board of revenue (FBR) to act against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member national assembly Shandana Gulzar.
According to the details, justice Syed Arshad Ali and justice Waqar Ahmed heard the case. Additional attorney general Sanaullah appeared in the court.
Court ordered the sponsors to submit the response till next hearing.
Additional attorney general Sanaullah stated that he has an objection on the jurisdiction of the plea. This notice issued from Lahore.
Justice Waqar Ahmed questioned that how Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) inquires against the resident of Lahore. FIA’s office is in only in Lahore.
Justice Syed Arshad Ali asked that tell the court about the allegation and what did he violate for.
Shandana Gulzar’s lawyer said that FIA issued a call notice to the applicant.
Court inquired that what do you said about the jurisdiction.
Justice Syed Arshad remarked that notice sent from FIA Lahore to the applicant. Court inquired from Sanaullah that she is member national assembly then what allegations are made against her.
Additional attorney general replied that she has done a negative propaganda against the national institutions. Sanaullah further said that he will provide the allegation in written form.
However, the court adjourned the hearing by March 25.
