Malik Riaz refuses to become ‘pawn’ in politics despite pressure
He continued to say that from 1996 till date, he is serving the punishment for playing a role in the development of the country
Islamabad: Malik Riaz, one of the biggest property tycoons in Pakistan, said that he has been under intense pressure for more than a year, but he has flatly refused to become a 'pawn' of anyone in politics.
Taking to X, Riaz wrote: “All my life, Allah has always guided me to stick to my principle that I should not be a political party in any matter”.
He stated that for more than a year now, he has been under a lot of pressure to compromise, but he will never allow anyone to use him as a pawn for political purposes.
I and my business have always been targeted for introducing the latest projects in Pakistan added Malik.
He continued to say that from 1996 till date, he is serving the punishment for playing a role in the development of the country.
“I have faced such pressures with courage and strength in the past with the help of Allah. Even today, personally, I can confidently say, ‘over my dead body’”, added the property tycoon.
In spite of his sick condition and anxiety, he was persevering to face this adversity with the help of Allah, suffering daily financial loss and being completely pushed against the wall, but without any pressure tactics, wrote Malik Riaz to his post.
“I will not surrender. May Allah guide and help me in this difficult period with dignity and make me successful,” he said further.
