Lahore: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted rain in various cities of Punjab including Lahore between July 28 and June 1.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, there is a possibility of heavy rain in various districts of Punjab from May 28 to June 1, dusty winds and thundershowers may occur in most of the districts of the province.
The PDMA spokesperson has forecast wind and rain in Rawalpindi, Murree, Guliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mandi Bahauddin. Clouds will also pour rain in Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Khushab, Sargodha and Mianwali.
Similarly, rain and storm have also been predicted in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh and Jhang.
The PDMA has instructed the district administration across Punjab to be on alert, informing them of the weather situation.
On the other hand, in the upper regions of the country, the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of rains till July 1.
According to the Meteorological Department, clouds will rain at few places in the upper regions of the country. The westerly winds will affect the upper regions of the country on May 28.
Weather forecasters say that between May 28 and 29, thundershowers are expected at a few places in Balochistan. While till June 1, rains with gusty winds are expected at most places in Punjab, including Islamabad and Murree.
According to the Department of Meteorology, today till June 1, rain with thunder is expected in some places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while in Gilgit-Baltistan there is also a possibility of wind, hail and rain. Due to the rains, the temperature is likely to decrease, while the heat wave will continue in the southern regions.
Meanwhile, in the provincial capital Lahore, the sun is still shining with its full zest today. The minimum temperature of the city is expected to go up to 28 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 44 degrees Celsius.
According to the statistics of the meteorological department, the humidity in the air in the city has reached 29 percent while the wind speed has been recorded at 10 km per hour.
