NAB conducts raids at Bahria Town Rawalpindi office

Rawalpindi: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday conducted a raid at Bahria Town's Rawalpindi office.
“A 16-member team of the NAB conducted raid at the corporate head office of Bahria Town,” said the sources.
They said that the NAB took record from the Bahria Town office while the police cordoned off the whole office of Bahria Town.
“Conducted raid to get records related to Al-Qadir Trust University,” said the sources while quoting the NAB officials.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had allocated land for the zoo.
In a report submitted to the Supreme Court, it was revealed that Bahria Town Karachi occupied 3,031 acres of land, exceeding the agreed amount.
This report was part of a case concerning the recovery of Rs460 billion from Bahria Town Karachi, showing that the housing society held more land than stipulated in the contract.
The latest reports said that Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz said in a Tweet on X that he would not become approver at any cost no matter how much injustice is done.
