Pakistan announces 18-member squad for Paris Olympics
At the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Ara Nabi and Arshad Nadeem will hold the Pakistani flag
Lahore: The Pakistan Olympics Association has announced the 18-member squad for the Paris Olympics.
The 18-member squad includes seven athletes and 11 officials, including coaches and medical staff.
At the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Ara Nabi and Arshad Nadeem will hold the Pakistani flag while Pakistan's athletes will be in action in shooting, swimming, and athletics.
Mohammad Shafiq Chief De Mission, Javed Lodhi Deputy Chief De Mission and Zainab Shaukat will be admin officials. Athletics will be coached by Arshad Nadeem and Faiqa Riaz along with Salman Iqbal Butt and Dr Ali Bajwa.
In shooting there will be two coaches with Ghulam Mustafa Bashir, Kashmala Talat and Gulfam Joseph. In swimming Ahmed Durrani and Jahan Ara will be the team officials.
Misaq Rizvi will be the Chief Medical Officer and Rizwan Ahmed the Welfare Officer while Kashif Jameel of the Pakistan Embassy in France will be the Olympic Attaché. The Pakistani contingent will leave for Paris in groups.
