Vandalism case: Imran, Qureshi ordered to appear in court via video link

Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad Wednesday issued an order to present Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the court on September 7 via video link.

The vandalism case was heard against PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and others.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra ordered the jail authorities to make arrangements for the video link appearance.

Judge Tahir Abbas asked whether Shah Mehmood Qureshi was a convicted prisoner. In which jail he is? PTI lawyer said that Qureshi is not convicted, he is imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

The court directed the jail superintendent to produce the accused in the court on the next hearing through a video link.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the vandalism case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi till September 7.

It is pertinent to note that two cases of vandalism have been registered against PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and other workers in Khana police station.
