Accident took place at 5:00am on Friday

Ankara: The governor of Ankara, the capital of Turkey, said that a bus collided with a highway bridge near Ankara, resulting in the death of nine people and 26 injuries.
TRT public television channel reported that the accident took place at 5:00am on Friday, as the bus was traveling from Eskişehir, a city west of Ankara.
Ankara Region Governor Wasp Sahan said the preliminary information indicated that the driver fell asleep during the trip as there was no indication that he had tried to brake.
He further said that the investigation has been started.
It is pertinent to note that bus accidents are quite common in Turkey. In May, a bus, two cars, and a truck collided on a highway near the southern city of Mersin, killing 10 people and injuring 40.
