Yasin Malik to defend his case before Delhi Court

Kashmir: Since the partition of India, by usurping occupied Kashmir, there is no example of the atrocities that India has unleashed on the Muslims there.

India also abolished the special status of Occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019, violating the resolutions of the United Nations, the Security Council, and the Indian Constitution.

So far, the Indian occupation army has used all kinds of inhumane tactics to eliminate the majority of Muslims in Occupied Kashmir.

Musarat Alam, Shabbir Shah, Asia Andrabi, and Yasin Malik have been imprisoned for their uncommitted crimes for raising their voices in favor of the freedom of Occupied Kashmir and the oppressed people there.

 The Delhi High Court heard the National Investigation Agency's case against Yasin Malik on Friday, August 8.

Yasin Malik is serving a sentence on charges of false and baseless killings and financing militants.

On the occasion of the hearing, Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik decided to fight his case on his own, refusing to take the services of a lawyer.

Following his decision, the bench headed by Justice Suresh Ket adjourned the hearing of the case till September 25.

It is important to expose that why Yasin Malik has decided to defend his own case and what are the reasons behind it.

Yasin Malik, the leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, wants to prove his innocence by fighting the case on his own, as well as stating the truth of the allegations.

In doing so, it also highlights the political nature of the Yasin Malik case and the Indian government's efforts to silence it.

Yasin believes that if a lawyer is appointed, his case cannot be conducted fairly. In this way, he can in a way express lack of confidence in the legal system of India.

Yasin Malik's self-litigation will also be seen as a symbolic act of resistance against the policies of the Indian government.
