Washington: US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin made it clear that the US will not change its commitment to help protect Israel.
According to foreign media, while talking about the military aid of $8.7 billion to Israel, the US Secretary of Defense said that they will not change its commitment to help protect Israel.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Israeli and American defense officials met in the Pentagon. The United States is providing $8.7 billion in military aid to Israel.
Lloyd Austin stated that while committed to providing Israel with essential supplies, the commitment to US aid to Israel has not changed and will not change in the future.
Earlier, it was also said by the Israeli Ministry of Defense that the US is providing military aid to Israel worth $8.7 billion.
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has refused to accept Lebanon's cease-fire demand and that the attacks will continue, targeting Hezbollah with full force. The Israeli army chief has also threatened ground attacks on Lebanon.
A meeting of the Security Council has been called by France on the Lebanon-Israel conflict. The United States and France proposed a ceasefire in Lebanon. The European Union, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, Japan and Qatar have supported the proposal and demanded a 21-day temporary ceasefire.
