He expressed extreme surprise that all this was happening in Pakistan

Karachi: World-famous Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik explained the reason for leaving the stage during an event in Islamabad.
Dr Zakir Naik is currently on a visit to Pakistan, where a gathering was held at the Governor House in Karachi on October 5, in which a large number of people participated. He talked about the incident that happened after arriving in Pakistan a few days ago.
A few days ago, Dr Zakir was invited as a special guest at the orphanage Pakistan Sweet Home. At the end of the program, when the girls were called on the stage to receive the shield from Dr Zakir Naik, they left the stage.
Dr. Zakir said that these girls were impermissible to him and he could not give them a shield. When the video went viral on social media, it was severely criticized by the general public. However, Zakir Naik spoke in this regard during his speech at the Governor's House.
He stated: “I was called to meet the orphans, on which I agreed to participate only for 10 minutes despite being very busy, but the orphans were left behind in the event, and there was only a photo session. When I was asked to give a speech, I spoke for a while for the sake of the children. At the end of the speech, women were called to the stage. They were all adults, so I will call them women. To which I objected, the administrator said that all are girls, I said what is this concept”.
Dr Zakir Naik added that you cannot even touch a girl when they are an adult. During my Islam speech, a whole group of girls came on the stage, all of them were mature girls of 15 or 16.
He said that he was criticized on social media for his exit from the stage, on which he was seriously surprised that this is happening in Pakistan, what has happened to this country? You should have said, Masha'Allah, what a man, he got off the stage, instead, people are telling me that he did not meet the girls.
According to Zakir Naik, the owner of the orphanage stated these are his daughters, and ‘I said that it is forbidden for you to touch these girls’. What is this society. There is no harm in calling ‘daughter’, but non-mahram girls cannot be touched.
He expressed extreme surprise that all this was happening in Pakistan. Hindus in India call him and respect him for keeping girls away from Zakir. But, TV host in Islamabad kept coming to him to ask questions, he backed away and she kept coming up, you're a Muslim, what's going on?
Zakir further said that there is no harm in calling someone a daughter, and nurturing her but no right to touch her. Someone does not become a daughter by just saying, she is forbidden, you cannot touch her.
