PPP to vote against ‘bill specific to arrested Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav’, Bilawal

The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Thursday has announced its disagreement with the bill on arrested Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav.

Talking to the media in Parliament House, PPP chairman said that an ordinance was prepared for one person through “the back door in the dark of night.”

Bilawal Bhutto added, “this person did not take advantage of this ordinance, now the government is bringing that bill in the parliament.”

Bilawal clarified that PPP would vote against the bill.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the government did not take into confidence related to the bill concerning Kulbhushan while PPP will not be a facilitator in this matter.

He said that if NRO has to be given to an Indian spy then Imran Khan should give it himself.

Talking about Afghanistan, the PPP chairman said that “we have learned many lessons on the issue of Afghanistan in past while such decisions will affect the entire world.”

He said that decisions would have consequences for 30 years, but the parliament should be informed about the deal reached on Afghanistan.

On the Prime Minister's announcement on US forces using Pakistani airports, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he did not believe in Imran Khan's statement on airbases.

The PPP chairman expressed concern about PM taking a ‘U turn’ on the issue of air bases.

Bilawal Bhutto also hoped that the Speaker would issue production order of PPP MNA Khurshid Shah.

National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Law and Justice on October 21, last year had approved the bill that seeks a review of the conviction of Indian spy Jadhav, who has been sentenced to death by a military court for espionage and terrorism.
