NA, Senate session today with final draft of constitutional amendment on card
Sessions of both houses were held on Saturday night but postponed

Islamabad: The government and its allied parties in parliament are hoped to pass the constitutional amendment as it has convened sessions of both houses today.
Sessions of both houses were held on Saturday night but postponed after JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman sought time on the request of PTI leaders, who want to have further deliberation on the draft.
The National Assembly session was held on Saturday night after the delay of many hours from its actual time. Now, it will take place on Sunday (today) at 6pm to take up much-touted 26th constitutional amendment package.
The ruling and opposition parties continued to hold separate meetings to attain the desired outcome before the cabinet finally met on late Saturday night to discuss the constitutional tweaks, after multiple delays.
Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, while speaking to media in wee hours of Sunday informed that the cabinet members were briefed over the draft approved by parliament's special committee during the meeting.
“Federal cabinet would give a go-ahead to the final draft after making modifications recommended by the special committee,” he continued.
