Authorities' response to Khan's medical checkup appeal termed ‘unsatisfactory’

Islamabad: The court declared the response of the jail authorities to the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan's medical examination as unsatisfactory.

A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on PTI founder Imran Khan's request for an examination by the doctors of Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

The State Council, while submitting a report on behalf of the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, said that doctors are present in the jail for medical examination and is done three days a week. The Home Department of Punjab has banned meetings till October 25.

Founder PTI's lawyer said that he is an under-trial prisoner, even in wars, doctors are allowed to examine the prisoners.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb told the State Council to look into the appeal and said that their behavior was not appreciable, and he would issue an order on it.
