COAS visits PAF operational base, observes Multinational Exercise Indus Shield

Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited the operational base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) where he observed the multinational exercise Indus Shield 2024.

According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of the Pakistan Army, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Asim Munir was received by the Chief of the PAF on his arrival at the Air Base. Chief of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Naveed Ashraf was also present on the occasion.

According to ISPR, Indus Shield 2024 is the largest multi-national exercise in the region, involving 24 air forces, with the motto of the exercise, ‘Stronger Together’, taking part in the training with state-of-the-art facilities.

ISPR stated that Pakistan Air Force's multinational air exercise Indus Shield is attended by the air forces of other important countries including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The main objective of the exercise is to enhance mutual cooperation between the participating countries and strengthen military cooperation and promote strategic partnership.

Exercise Indus Shield highlights Pakistan's commitment to regional security and its role in promoting joint operational readiness among allied nations. It serves as a platform to showcase advanced tactics and enhance mutual understanding between the participating air forces.
