Fog: 11 flights canceled, 53 delayed
11 flights have been canceled, three have been diverted to alternative airports
Lahore: Flight operations at various airports in Punjab have been severely affected due to dense fog on Friday.
According to the details, 11 flights have been canceled, three have been diverted to alternative airports, and 53 flights were delayed.
According to aviation authorities, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights PK340 and PK341 from Karachi to Faisalabad, and PK322 and PK323 from Lahore to Quetta have been canceled.
Foreign airline flight SV739 from Jeddah to Lahore, PIA flights PK281 and 282 from Muscat to Sialkot, and four flights PK601, PK602, PK605, and PK606 from Islamabad to Gilgit have been canceled.
The foreign airline flight QR616, which arrived in Multan from Doha, was diverted to Islamabad and when the weather cleared, the flight was brought back to Multan from Islamabad. Flight SV738 from Jeddah to Lahore was also diverted to Islamabad and flight PK244 from Dammam to Sialkot was diverted to Lahore Airport.
Flight OD132 from Lahore to Kuala Lumpur and flight TG346 from Lahore to Bangkok could not take off until this morning. Seven flights between Karachi and Islamabad and five flights between Karachi and Lahore are also delayed.
19 flights arriving and departing at Lahore Airport are delayed, while three flights from Lahore to Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been delayed by more than six hours.
