Section 144 in Punjab for three days

Lahore: The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province for three days and notification has been issued by the Home Department in this regard.
According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Home Department, a ban has been imposed on all kinds of protests, gatherings, processions, rallies, sit-ins, and all such activities in the province.
The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in the province for three days. This ban will apply from Saturday, November 23 to Monday, November 25, stated the spokesperson.
According to the notification, because of security threats, any public procession can be a soft target for terrorists, and miscreants can achieve their nefarious objectives through anti-state activities under the guise of a public gathering.
The implementation of Section 144 was recommended in the 18th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order. The decision to implement Section 144 was taken for the establishment of law and order, and protection of human lives and property.
