Three terrorist, two injured in Bannu operation
Killed Khawarij were involved in the killing of innocent civilians and attacks on security forces
Bannu: Security forces killed three Khawarij and injured two during an operation in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of Pakistan Army, security forces conducted an operation in Bannu this morning on information about the presence of terrorists.
ISPR spokesperson stated that three Khawarij were killed and two were injured as a result of the operation by the security forces. Weapons and explosives were also recovered from the Khawarij killed in the exchange of fire.
The ISPR added that the killed Khawarij were involved in the killing of innocent civilians and attacks on security forces.
Earlier, a statement issued by the Pakistan Army spokesperson said that on November 19, 2024, Khawarij tried to attack a joint check post of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Constabulary (FC) in the Mali Khel area of Bannu district.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that the attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted by the troops and six Khawarij were killed during the exchange of fire and 12 soldiers were also martyred.
