Pakistan to trade with Afghanistan in Pak rupees: Shaukat Tarin
Kabul is facing a scarcity of dollars because the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) had confiscated its reserves after the Taliban takeover.

The government finalized this decision during the meeting of the Senate's Standing Committee on Finance chaired by Senator Talha Mehmood.

"People could be sent from Pakistan to run various affairs in Afghanistan," said the minister during the briefing.

Tarin further told that Pakistan has received $450million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the procurement of coronavirus vaccines.

The minister hopes to take the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth to 4.8% in the current fiscal year.
