Shehbaz Sharif falls off stairs, sustains spinal injury
The opposition leader is again suffering from severe back pain and has been directed to take complete rest for at least two weeks.
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Thursday slipped and fell down the stairs at his residence— getting spinal injuries, GNN reported.

Reports quoting sources said that Shehbaz Sharif’s doctors examined him and took X-rays.
Following the situation, the PML-N leader has suspended all political activities.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has summoned a meeting slated on October 11. The meeting will be chaired by Jamiat Ulma e Islam Falzur Rahman (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
As per sources, the political situation of the country and issues related to joining the electoral reform committee will be considered. The meeting will seek clarification from PML-N on its readiness to join the committee.
Reportedly, leader of PML-N Nawaz Sharif will attend the meeting via video link.
The meeting will also be attended by Prof. Sajid Mir, Shah Awais Noorani, Mir Kabir Muhammad Shahi, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and other leaders.
