Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan has been detained on Sunday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) over a drug seizure on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast last night.

As per sources, Aryan Khan is currently being questioned by the agency’s detectives. The NCB sleuths, who raided Cordelia cruise after it departed from Mumbai, seized drugs such as cocaine, hashish and MD.

Reportedly, the ship was to depart on Saturday for Goa.

Zonal Director of NCB, Sameer Wankhede said that Aryan Khan has not been booked on any charges and has not been arrested so far.

Sameer Wankhede received a tip-off, after which he and a team boarded the ship, posing as passengers, said sources.

When the ship left Mumbai shores and was at mid-sea, a party began where drugs were consumed, sources added.

In a statement, NCB said drugs like ecstasy, cocaine, mephedrone and charas were recovered from the cruise and a case had been registered.

NCB also seized Aryan Khan’s phone and his handset is being scanned by the authorities to check for any indication of his involvement in the possession or consumption of drugs.

The narcotics bureau is investigating the chats received on the phones that have been seized from the drug bust.

The agency revealed that eight people, including two women, were apprehended and their role was being investigated.

Besides Aryan Khan, his close friend Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker and Gomit Chopra are also being questioned.

The NCB has also summoned six of the organisers who had planned the cruise party.

Aryan Khan is Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's first child. The couple also has a daughter, Suhana Khan, and a son, AbRam.
