American scientists David Julius and Ardim Patapotin win 2021 Nobel Prize in Medicine

According to a foreign news agency, the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to scientists David Julius and Ardem for their joint discovery of temperature and tactile veins or nerve signals.

The century-old prize is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and is worth 10 million Swedish kronor (1. 1.15 million).
Prizes for achievements in science, literature and peace were created and funded by Swedish dynamite inventor and businessman Alfred Nobel.
Last year's award went to Americans Harvey Alter and Charles Rice and British Michael Houghton for their work in identifying the hepatitis C virus, which causes cirrhosis and liver cancer.
