PDM chief’s daughter ties knot with Afaq Jan Begukhel


DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The daughter of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday tied the knot with Afaq Jan Begukhel of Lakki Marwat.
The wedding ceremony was held in AbdulKhel village of Paharpur Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan. The family of the groom Afaq Jan has some relationship with the family of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and is economically strong as has some flour mills and other businesses.
The attendees of the wedding ceremony were limited and Maulana Fazlur Rehman was happy with his daughter's marriage but the celebration of the ceremony were held with simplicity. Meat, roast, rice, Baryani, halwa and vegetable were included in the menu.
Meanwhile, prominent politician Akram Khan Durrani attended the wedding ceremony and gave blessings to the groom and the bride. During the ceremony, Maulana Fazlur Rehman remained busy in conversation with Akram Durrani all the time.
Security arrangements have also been arranged during the marriage ceremony.
