‘Govt increases sales tax by decreasing prices of petroleum products’

Lahore: Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has said that the government has increased sales tax by decreasing the prices of petroleum products.
Speaking to the journalists, the opposition leader said that the economy has been destroyed and inflation has caused several problems for the poverty-stricken masses in earning their livelihood, asking that did Imran Niazi unable to see plight of the poor people while sitting in Bani Gala.
“Since Imran Khan has come, he has only created a drama. “The government has been ruling for four years, where is 5 million houses? The person should be presented before court who promised to provide 10 million jobs but not fulfilled and the one who lined up the people for sugar.”

He also criticized the incumbent ruling government for playing with the emotions of the people. “We have to make corrupt rulers accountable for their deeds,” he stated.
The PML-N leader also said that the effects of the Afghan crisis were being felt in Pakistan and this government has not consult with other political parties regarding the public matters even a single day during its four year tenure. “If this nation wants to get rid of public problems, then took firm stand against the government.”
He further said that today was a reminder that this nation has to unite against the scourge of terrorism, asking that why the prime minister disappears on the issue of security. “The lesson of APS tragedy teaches to work on the National Action Plan (NAP).”
