Four-year-old girl killed in crossfire during robbery in Karachi
She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, however, she could not survive
Karachi: A four-year-old girl was killed during the exchange of fire between a robber and a security guard at a mini-mart in Shah Latif Town area near Landhi Manzil Pump in Karachi
According to details, a robbery took place at a mini-mart in Shah Latif Town during which a change of fires took place between security guards and robbers. As a result of which 4-year-old girl named Harmain was killed.
Shah Latif Town police said that three robbers looted a mini-mart during which security guards opened fire on the fleeing accused. Harmain, daughter of Mumtaz, was severely injured in the retaliatory firing of the accused.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage shows the exchange of fire and the two robbers fleeing from the store.
The minor girl, who was passing by on a motorcycle with her elder brother, was shot in the head. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, however, she could not survive. Her brother demanded justice from the government. The girl’s brother said that strict action should be taken against the accused.
The police said the minor's body was shifted to Jinnah hospital for postmortem. The injured dacoit was also shifted to a hospital.
Two accomplices of the arrested accused fled the scene. Weapons were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
