The child was assaulted inside the school’s washroom.

Lahore: A 10-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted by an unknown student inside the washroom of a private school in Lahore’s Shahdara Town, police reported Friday.
According to details, the girl—third grader— was found in a semi-conscious condition and was immediately moved to the hospital in a critical condition.
The child was assaulted inside the school’s washroom, said police, adding that the scenes from the crime site show she struggled a lot.
Police suspects the crime was carried out by one of the male students.
The preliminary investigation also revealed that victim’s class fellows heard the girl crying for help in the washroom and informed school’s administration, however, the staff ignored.
In the meantime, doctors have confirmed the rape after a medical examination.
Child’s parents have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 376 (Punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
PPC 376—Whoever commits rape shall be punished with death or imprisonment of either description for a term which shall 'not be less than ten years or more than twenty-five years and shall also be liable to fine.
The police have obtained CCTV schools’ footage and further investigation is underway.
