Beijing: China's Su Yiming claimed a historic gold medal in the Beijing 2022 men's snowboard big air with a combined score of 182.50 points at Big Air Shougang on Tuesday (today).
This is China's first gold medal in men's snowboard big air and Su's second Olympic medal at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
The host country has set its new Winter Olympics record with a total of 12 medals—including six gold, four silver and two bronze.
Chinese snowboarder Su Yiming bagged the 6th gold, breaking China’s best medal record for the Winter Olympic.
Su also won silver in the slopestyle event.
Norway's Mons Roisland took silver with 171.75 while Canadian Max Parrot finished with the bronze in 170.25.
