Westerly winds will enter Pakistan via Balochistan

Islamabad: The Met Office has forecast rains and thunderstorms in the upper parts of Pakistan from Monday night.
Westerly winds will enter Pakistan tonight via Balochistan. “Under the influence of this weather system, rains and thunderstorms are expected tonight in South Punjab and some Northern areas, which will continue until Friday.”
The Met Office has warned crops and weak structures will be affected due to heavy rainfalls. It has also suggested connecting roads and bridges be closed in Murree, Galiyat and Nathia Gali during this time.
Authorities have been alerted to take all precautionary measures.
The weather update comes as the Environment Ministry prepares for a spring plantation campaign. The government will host over 600 ceremonies under the campaign.
Meanwhile, many areas of Sindh are experiencing sunny days including Karachi.
