Senior analyst Imran Yaqub Khan has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) wants Imran Khan to remain the Prime Minister for as long as possible.

Talking on GNN's show 'Viewpoint', the veteran journalist said that the opposition alliance does not want Imran Khan to become a political martyr. "They don't want a no-confidence movement against Imran Khan. They want him to continue," he revealed on the show.

Imran Yaqub Khan further said that Pakistan People's Party has Sindh while in Punjab they want a PDM government in Punjab. "Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is going to meet Hamza Shehbaz for this purpose," he stated, stressing the possibility of PDM getting government in both provinces.
"This will make it difficult for Imran Khan to put up a good performance. It will also allow opposition to sell a narrative in General Elections 2023 that Imran Khan did nothing in his tenure," he predicted.
