Gujrat: A smart lockdown has been imposed in three areas of Gujrat after the city reported surge in Covid-19 cases.

According to details, the areas where smart lockdown has been imposed by district management include Chak Sada Nawan Lok and Jalal Pur Jattiyan.
The lockdown will remain intact till March 19 and a notification has also been issued in this regard.
According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 1,353 cases of coronavirus were reported while 54 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 13,281.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 593,453. As many as 563,823 patients have recovered from the disease with 1,644 critical cases.
