Imran Khan will have to go: Saad Rafique
“Constitution gives right to table no-confidence motion"
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is promoting undemocratic traditions in the country, adding that people were running away from him.
During a media talk outside an accountability court in Lahore, the PML-N leader said ‘some people’ began to be considered bad by Imran Khan when they became neutral.
He said that sooner decisions would be taken. “Imran Khan will have to go. Does the status of prime minister suits abusing? A large amount of PTI wants to vote according to conscience,” he added.
He said that efforts are being made to stop the no-confidence motion. “Constitution gives right to table no-confidence motion. Prime Minister Imran Khan has come to know that he is going, that is why he is ruining the situation. Legs of the government were shivering when PDM president Maulana Fazalur Rehman gave a call,” he maintained.
Saad Rafique said that institutions should take notice of Imran Khan’s D-Chowk meetings. “We do not believe in political revenge. What is the advantage of gathering the crowd? Whereas MNAs will cast their vote,” he added.
Criticizing the government for creating so much mess in the country, the PML-N leader said, “It will now take time to fix things”.
