The provincial ministers and the CM discussed the political affairs along with the progress of the development projects

Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar held a meeting with Punjab for Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology, and Tourism Rai Taimoor Bhatti and other Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) on Friday.
According to details, the provincial ministers and the CM discussed the political affairs along with the progress of the development projects.
Chief Minister of Punjab said that the rally of March 27 will prove to be a public referendum against the opposition. All the party members stand united under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, CM added.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address a public meeting in Mansehra's Thakral Stadium today.
The prime minister’s visit of Mansehra is part of the ruling PTI’s campaign for the March 31 local body elections in the city and six other districts of the Hazara division.
Federal minister for railways Azam Khan Swati, federal parliamentary secretary Salah Mohammad Khan, lawmakers, and government officials visited the venue on Thursday to examine arrangements for a public meeting.
The public meeting would be attended by the PTI candidates, leaders, and workers from Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Torghar, Upper and Lower Kohistan, and Kolai-Palas districts.
Meanwhile, National Assembly (NA) will meet on Friday (today) for a crucial session on the request of the joint opposition to begin the process for the no-confidence motion filed against the Prime Minister.
The crucial session will convene at 11 am to start proceedings for a no-confidence motion, with Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair. According to sources, during the National Assembly session, a strategy will be chalked out.
It could take several days before an actual vote to decide if Imran will be removed.
In the 342-member National Assembly, the ruling coalition needs at least 172 members to sail through the no-confidence vote.
Notably, to oust Imran Khan, the opposition leaders submitted the no-confidence motion in National Assembly on March 8.
According to sources, the joint opposition stalwarts held a consultation on a no-trust motion to be tabled against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly today.
No Pakistani prime minister has ever completed a full five-year term in office.
Pakistan’s next general election is due by late 2023, however, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, at a news conference, hinted towards an early election to defuse the looming confrontation.
