Russia imposes conditional ban on Twitter
Moscow: Russia has decided to impose a conditional ban on the social networking site Twitter, with officials threatening serious consequences if requested content is not removed.

According to the details, Moscow have said that they are slowing down Twitter in retort to Twitter administration who had failed to remove the banned content. “This retaliatory action is taken due to Twitter not acting according to the Russia’s request,”
According to the foreign news agency, the Russian government has also threatened Twitter that if it does not meet their demands, they can shut down the platform completely.
Russia's state-run communication regulator says it is slowing down Twitter to limit its use if banned content is not removed from the site. Twitter will remain slow until the presence of prohibited and illegal content. There are more than 3,000 posts on Twitter containing prohibited content. If Twitter fails to remove posts containing prohibited content, a complete ban will be imposed, the authority added.
On the other hand, the Russian official has said in response that “Russia does not want to ban Twitter, but social media companies should follow Russian laws.
The dispute between the US company Twitter and the Russian government began when Twitter did not take out a post about the protests in which children were encouraged to take part in anti-government protests.
