Constitution mentions ‘secret voting’ not ‘secret cameras’: Maryam slams emergence of hidden cameras
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader has slammed the emergence of hidden cameras spy cameras in senate’s polling booth ahead of the elections for top slots.

Taking to twitter, Maryam wrote that the Constitution of Pakistan has mentioned ‘secret voting’ but not ‘secret cameras’.
“Those robbing elections of upper house have lost the last war after Daska elections fiasco. After facing humiliation in apex court and failing to pass a constitutional amendment followed by presidential ordinance being turned into a piece of paper, they installed hidden cameras,” she wrote adding,
“Have some shame vote thieves, leave the seat," she said.
Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government, the PML-N leader said that they come up with new tactics to steal votes but fail miserably every time.

The elections top posts of senate will be held today amid a controversy over sale and purchase of votes and allegations by opposition that their lawmakers were being pressurized to vote for government candidates.
Shibli vowed to investigate incident and expose opposition
While referring to the issue of hidden cameras in senate’s polling booth, Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz said that another of opposition’s drama and conspiracy has been exposed,
While addressing media outside parliament house after oath-taking ceremony, the information minister said that they are the same people who won senate seat using such tactics.
“How come opposition members were the first ones persons to identify cameras in polling booths? Whosoever found the camera must have installed it. They have been doing this for a long time; this is evident from the video of Ali Gilani teaching MNAs how to waste votes,” he said.
Shibli further stated that opposition parties have destroyed morality in politics and introduced vote sale and purchase in elections.
“This matter will be investigated and we will expose how many of their polling agents are there in assembly. Blackmailing, bullying and lies are the tactics of opposition,” he added.
