It will be applied to all consumers of the Discos except lifeline and K Electric consumers.
Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs4.85 per unit in the power tariff, GNN reported on Friday.
The Nepra has also issued a notification in this regard.
According to details, the Nepra increased Rs4.85 per unit price of electricity in connection with monthly fuel adjustment charges for February.
The raise will be applicable to the electricity bill for the month of April only. It will be applied to all consumers of the Discos except lifeline and K Electric consumers.
The CPPA had sought an increase of Rs4.94 per unit. Before that in January, Rs5.94 per unit was charged to consumers in connection with monthly fuel adjustment charges.
