One killed as transport plane crashes in southern Ukraine

Kyiv: One person has been killed while two others sustained injuries after a Ukrainian AN-26 transport plane crashed during a "technical flight" in the Zaporizhzhia region of southern Ukraine on Friday, local authorities said.
The Zaporizhzhia regional administration said that, according to preliminary and unconfirmed information, the plane hit an electricity pole and the engine caught fire.
The Zaporizhzhia region has been subjected to numerous attacks from Russian forces since the beginning of the invasion on February 24.
The crashed twin-engined turboprop civilian and military transport aircraft, designed and produced in the Soviet Union from 1969 to 1986.
