Dollar inches close to Rs200 mark
Pakistan rupee recorded a fresh decline of Rs2.08
Karachi: The value of the Pakistani rupee is hitting the Rs200 mark against the US dollar amidst the upcoming budget 2022-23.
The currency market opened the trading day on Monday with an increase of Rs2.08 in the US dollar reaching Rs199.80 from Rs200.
The Pakistan rupee has lost a historic Rs2.08 value against the US dollar in the first half of the interbank.
The previous week's closing of the US dollar was Rs197.92.
As per forex traders, the Pakistani rupee will remain under pressure until the government and international lender IMF will make an agreement.
The situation in interbank trading may remain unpredictable and uncertain until the presentation of the federal budget as well.
