Mumbai: Acclaimed Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was nearly killed outside his house by a sharpshooter sent by Lawrence Bishnoi, according to Indian media outlets.
According to details, a sharpshooter came within inches of killing Salman Khan outside his home, but the actor was reportedly saved by a whisker.
Reportedly, a suspect named Lawrence Bishnoi who was involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala sent a sharpshooter with a small-bore weapon to assassinate Khan.
For a while, now Bollywood actor Salman Khan made headlines after a death threat letter was received by his father Salim Khan. The Bollywood megastar's security was beefed up after the incident and Mumbai police had started their investigation on the same.
Reports quoting sources stated that the assassin upon discovering that the actor does not accompany security guards when he goes cycling in the morning, planted an attack, however, on the main day, as the sharpshooters were about to carry out their plan but he backed out at the last minute.
It is pertinent to mention here that Salman Khan was earlier on Bishnoi’s radar after the infamous blackbuck poaching case during the shoot of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
Bishnoi community considers black buck to be a sacred animal and Salman’s involvement in poaching had hurt the community’s sentiments. He had earlier in 2018 threatened to kill Salman.
