Justin Bieber's face paralyzed after rare disorder diagnosis
Ramsay Hunt syndrome: Justin Bieber reveals that he is suffering from partial face paralysis after cancelling shows this week.
Ontario: Canadian singer, songwriter and actor Justin Bieber has revealed that he has been diagnosed with rare disorder that paralyzed half of the face. The singer is suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, he said in video he posted on Instagram.
Days after cancelling three shows in his world tour, the pop singer Justin Bieber announced he was suffering from temporary facial paralysis. The 28-year-old said that he had to cancel his tour dates as he was “physically, obviously not capable of doing them”.
"It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis," the singer said in the three-minute video, indicating the right side of his face.
"As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can't smile on this side of my face... So there's full paralysis on this side of my face," he added.
He further added: "I hope you guys understand. I'll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to a hundred percent so that I can do what I was born to do".

According to medical experts, the syndrome causes facial paralysis and affects nerves in the face through a shingles outbreak.
Earlier this week, Bieber's Justice World Tour - which began in February - announced three shows would be postponed.
He had been due to play in Washington DC and Toronto earlier this week, with concerts also planned in New York and Los Angeles in the coming weeks.
Bieber was scheduled to perform in India on October 18, as part of his Justice World tour.
